No hablaremos de la morena que acompaña esta sesión de fotos, más que nada que la revista es de coches, aunque sí lo queréis tengo por ahí su teléfono…
Otra forma de entender o ver el mundo de las preparaciones es centrándonos en las evoluciones de coches de alta gama, modelos que por si solos ya consiguen atraer la atención de la gente, los que después de unos retoques, realizados siempre con mucho gusto, consiguen desmarcarse por disponer de una gran dosis de exclusividad.
Este es el caso del Porsche que preside la contraportada de este número, un proyecto que lleva una inversión un tanto sustanciosa que ni falta hace que comentemos, pero este suele ser problema de tener el morro fino. Ni fibra ni historias, todos los elementos son originales de Porsche y ya os podéis imaginar la castaña par el bolsillo que eso supone.
Ejercicio de estilo
A veces no hace falta perder la cabeza buscando complementos, simplemente es cuestión de gusto, convirtiendo el proyecto en un ejercicio de estilo. Con la correcta elección de los complementos y el color puro con el que ha sido rematado, el Boxter de Custo luce estilo de una forma estrepitosa.
Son varios los elementos que proceden del modelo 996, tales como el parachoques delantero, las aletas, los faros y el capó, aunque hay que decir que la pestañita inferior del parachoques proviene del Carrera 4 S. Con la instalación de todas estas piezas provenientes de un modelo superior de gama “Divina” toma un aire más deportivo y sobrio, además de rebajar la altura de todo el frontal. Otro punto clave de esta preparación son las llantas elegidas. Debemos tener presente las medidas del coche y ser concientes de que si nos pasamos de pulgadas de llanta el conjunto pede quedar algo bruto, y esto no es precisamente lo que buscamos en este proyecto. Así que, con unas Victor Wheels en 20” con el núcleo en blanco tenemos más que suficiente para conseguir una armonía total.
No es simplemente un traje
Una vez con la línea definida llega el momento de buscar una mejora de las prestaciones, al final lo que queremos es poder disfrutar al máximo del potencial del vehículo. Para ello empezaremos buscando un punto de gravedad inferior al original y en este caso se consigue con la instalación de un conjunto completo de suspensiones y muelles (de menos 5 cm) de la marca SP. Para mejorar la frenada se aposto por un conjunto de pinzas y discos del fabricante Brembo y, como no, se hicieron algunas modificaciones en busca de una mayor potencia. De este modo se instaló la línea completa del Boxter S junto con los supresores del catalizador, además se reprogramo la centralita (EpromPower) y mejoro la admisión con un filtro K&N.
